Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the MeteoLive mobile application (“MeteoLive”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. MeteoLive does not require an account, and we do not sell your personal data.

Information we handle

• Location. If you allow it, the app uses your device’s approximate location once, to show the weather for where you are. You can instead add cities manually and never grant location access. Location is used only to fetch a forecast and is not stored on our servers.
• Saved cities & settings. The cities you add, your chosen units and language are stored locally on your device (and in your iCloud/App Group container so widgets can read them). They are not sent to us.
• Usage & diagnostics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used (screens opened, sessions, crashes) so we can improve it.
• Advertising identifiers. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. On Apple devices this only happens if you allow tracking when the App Tracking Transparency prompt appears; if you decline, non-personalised ads are shown.

Third-party services

To provide its features, MeteoLive sends the minimum data necessary to:

• OpenWeather — coordinates of the city you are viewing, to return its forecast. See the OpenWeather privacy policy.
• Windy — the interactive weather radar map is embedded from Windy. See the Windy privacy policy.
• Google AdMob (advertising) and Google Analytics for Firebase (analytics). See Google’s privacy policy and how AdMob uses data.

These providers act as independent controllers of the data they receive and process it under their own policies.

Your choices

• Deny or revoke location access any time in your device Settings.
• On iOS, control ad tracking under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and reset or limit your advertising identifier.
• Remove all locally stored data by deleting the app.

Children

MeteoLive is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Data retention

We do not maintain user accounts or a personal profile of you. Aggregate analytics and advertising data are retained by the respective providers under their policies. Data stored on your device remains until you delete the app.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Effective date” above will change accordingly. Significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
